In this photo I believe that the photographer was trying to depict the every day life of people in Omaha. In the photo you can see a trolley driver and above him is a sign that says that they have employed 700 people to work in that area. So I believe that he saw this as a good thing to show the world. For one it has on man at work and most likely there are people on that trolley to get to work. Seconded it showed that there were people working by the sign telling us so, in which is also doing that even thought times were difficult things were going to get better. I believe that is what he was trying to portray when he took that photograph.
